Event Details

This event will take place at the Thunder Bay Museum.

This is a half-day workshop with members of racialized communities to learn about their experiences in their interactions with participating organizations, including the Thunder Bay Public Library.

Each half day session will focus on a different topic relating to how people interact with the participating organizations:

  • Physical space – what physical barriers prevent members of racialized communities from entering or feeling welcome in our spaces?
  • Staffing – what barriers do members of racialized communities experience when interacting/engaging with staff?
  • Policies – are there policies in place that present barriers or create an unwelcome environment in the organizations?

Participants must be an adult (18+) and must be a member of a racialized community. Registration is required for each session. Food and honorarium will be provided for each session as well.
