This program is supported by the Canadian Children's Book Centre.
Join us in celebrating Canadian Children’s Book Week and bring the magic of books and reading to children all across Canada!
Presenters: Charlene and Wilson Bearhead
Presentation: Participants will be introduced to Siha Tooskin (Paul Wahasaypa), his family and the real life family that they are modelled after. Nakota language learning will be shared in a fun and interactive way that gives all participants the opportunity to hear and learn some Nakota terms. Following a reading and sharing of the beautiful illustrations from Love of the Dance, the authors will tell the origin stories of some of the dances and participants will even hear the songs and have a chance to get up and dance their style in their own learning space.
No registration required.
