Event Details

The latest resource in Northwestern Ontario libraries isn’t a book or tablet, but rather a radon detector.  Short-term digital radon detectors, which measure levels of the lung-cancer causing gas, were added to the collection in November. The digital radon detectors offer a free way for residents to learn more about radon levels in their home.  An information workshop will be held on Thursday January 16 from 6-7 pm at Mary J L Black library. The events include draws for free long-term radon test kits. Additional long-term radon test kits will be available for $50.
